Welcome to Care-AI
Paving the way for AI in elderly care
Care-AI is a research and development project working on developing a proof of concept for how artificial intelligence can be integrated into the daily routine of care facilities in Denmark.
Care-AI is receiving approximately 1.9 million € in funding from the Interreg 6A Germany-Denmark program. The total project volume is approximately 3 million €. Care-AI will run for three years, from December 2023 to the end of November 2026.
Why is Care AI important?
In both Germany and Denmark, we are facing a demographic shift in which the proportion of older people requiring care is increasing, while the number of younger people able to provide it is decreasing. This poses a major challenge for the care sector. Care-AI is developing solutions that can address this challenge through the use of AI technology. This frees up time and resources so that staff can focus on caring for residents.
What is the goal of Care-AI?
-
Paving the way for AI in future elderly care
-
by developing and testing an AI prototype for Danish and German elderly care
-
and establish a cross-border network for the exchange of knowledge and experience on AI in elderly care
What does Care-AI mean in practice?
The experiences from the project can promote the integration of AI solutions into elderly care and offer the following added value:
-
Staff receive a quick overview of important information about the health and well-being of residents.
-
Decision support: Provide analytics and insights to help staff make informed decisions.
-
Stronger prevention: Identify opportunities for prevention and improve residents’ well-being.
-
More time for care: Reduce administrative tasks and create more time for closeness and care.
